Gianfranco Foti graduated in 1978 at the School of Architecture of Venice University, with a thesis on Architectural Design in urban restoration. From 1978-1989 he participated in various projects and regional studies, focusing in particular on urban and territorial matters. He participated as an expert in the Town-planning Commission of Trieste City Council from 1986 to 1991 and in the Regional Technical Committee of Friuli Venezia Giulia from 1993 to 1998. He dealt with questions connected to the profession and role of the architect: he was member of the Association of Architects of the Province of Trieste, and Chairman from 1995-98; from 1994 to 2001 he was the editor of the architectural journal of Friuli Venezia Giulia, “Architetti Regione”. |
